Thailand LJ Day 3: Bang Pa-In Summer Palace

Located on the banks of the Pahsak River downstream from Ayuthaya the summer palace was built in the reign of King Rama IV. A clutter of buildings, in Thai, Italian, Victorian and Chinese architectural styles stand around a palatial pond. The palace was a favourite summer resort of King Rama V. The Chinese imperial buildings is said to e of the same design as the in the Chinese Imperial court with all the prefabricated parts custom-made from China. The Thai pavilion on the island in the middle of the pond has been copied as a Thai entry in many international expositions.
